Our Pastor
Pastor Kyler Franklin, affectionately known as “Pastor Ky” is God’s Chosen messenger, the Lead Pastor of Empowered Faith LA. Pastor Ky was ordained into ministry at 16 years old at Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Ky received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Fisk University. During his time at Fisk University, he served as a leader in the college ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Nashville. At age 23 Pastor Ky was lead by God to create a millennial focused evangelism ministry called Pop-Up Church. Pop Up Church took non-traditional spaces and turned them into places of worship. After serving as Youth Pastor at churches in LA, in 2020 during the pandemic, God spoke to Pastor Ky to plant a weekly virtual Bible Study to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. After 8 months of doing Bible Study watching it grow from 9 members to 100+, God spoke to Pastor Ky to plant Empowered Faith LA. In his professional life he works in Wealth Management at a top tier Global Investment Bank. Pastor Ky is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi.
